Evolve 2026: A Product Leader’s Perspective on Intelligent Growth

February 17, 2026

As VitalEdge’s VP of Product Management, I spend a large share of my time in roadmap discussions, feature prioritization meetings, and deep technical reviews. But my favorite part of the job? Communicating with customers. Understanding what’s working, what’s not, and what dealers actually need in the field. That’s exactly why I’m genuinely excited about attending my first Evolve conference this March.

I’ve been hearing about Evolve for months from colleagues who’ve attended. The stories they share aren’t about keynote presentations. They’re about the energy when dealers connect, the practical insights from hands-on sessions, and honest conversations that only happen when you create space for them. From a product perspective, that direct feedback from the people who use our platforms every day is what keeps development grounded in reality.

The Pressures Dealers Are Facing Right Now

Let’s be direct about what’s happening in the heavy equipment dealer landscape. Financial pressures are intensifying while customer expectations continue to rise. Global uncertainty around tariffs, supply chain volatility, and economic shifts creates an environment where operational agility matters more than ever.

And then there’s AI. It’s moved from buzzword to boardroom topic, but the critical question remains: where’s the real ROI? Dealers need to see how technology actually delivers results, not just modernization for its own sake.

Evolve 2026 was designed specifically to address these challenges with practical guidance on understanding what’s changing, seeing how technology applies to actual dealership operations, and making informed decisions that align with business realities.

What Sets Evolve Apart

Evolve is built specifically for VitalEdge customers running IntelliDealer, e-Emphasys, and Integrated Rental. Sessions are aligned to real dealership roles: service, parts, sales, rental, and executive leadership. The goal is applicability, not theory.

This year, we’ve created dedicated Experience Rooms where dealers can explore AI-driven tools, business intelligence capabilities, and integrations with product experts there to answer questions and help evaluate fit based on specific dealership realities. This is where you test technology against your workflows and get transparent interaction that’s rare when making technology decisions.

The Genius Bar provides one-on-one access to support teams, product managers, and subject matter experts. From a product management perspective, this is where we listen. There’s no substitute for sitting down with a service manager or parts director and hearing how our products perform in the field. These sessions directly inform our roadmap.

Intelligent Growth and Responsible AI Implementation

Our theme “Intelligent Growth in the Age of Responsible AI” reflects how we think about product development. AI is a tool, not a buzzword. We’re focused on AI capabilities that deliver measurable outcomes.

Right now, we’re demonstrating AI applications in service workflows. We’re also working to extend these capabilities into parts, inventory management, sales, and CRM. But we’re being deliberate about that expansion.

Here’s our standard: if we can’t show you the before and after, if we can’t demonstrate ROI in terms you care about, we’re not ready to recommend the investment. That’s the product discipline we’re bringing to this conversation.

What Dealers Should Take Home

The real measure of Evolve’s value is what happens after. Dealers should leave with clarity on which innovations matter to their business, how to approach modernization responsibly, and how VitalEdge’s product direction aligns with their needs.

From a product management standpoint, I’m looking for validation that our roadmap reflects dealer priorities. When dealers tell me they need better inventory visibility, I need to understand exactly what that means in their operations. That specificity separates product features that get adopted from features that get ignored.

A Partnership Built on Transparency

At its core, Evolve is about partnership: practical learning, product transparency, and strengthening relationships between VitalEdge and our dealers. The event runs March 8-11, 2026, in San Diego.

As I head into my first Evolve, I’m looking forward to those conversations more than anything else. I want to hear about your experiences, priorities, and frustrations. I want to understand the edge cases our product specs didn’t anticipate. That dialogue determines which features make it into the next release, which integrations we prioritize, and where we invest engineering resources.

See you in San Diego.
