Each year, Rental Equipment Register (RER) publishes its RER 100, ranking the 100 largest rental companies in North America by rental volume. Since 1985, it has served as one of the most closely watched benchmarks in the equipment rental industry, a definitive measure of scale, growth, and operational strength.
This year’s RER 100 collectively topped $46 billion in rental volume, reflecting another year of industry-wide growth. For a company to earn a place on this list, it has to have built something substantial: a rental operation that the market has rewarded with real, sustained volume.
We are proud to see so many VitalEdge customers represented among this year’s honorees.

Rental Is No Longer Optional
For equipment dealerships, rental has shifted from a supplementary revenue stream to a core part of how the business runs. Contractors and end users increasingly prefer the flexibility of renting over the capital commitment of purchasing, and dealerships that have built strong rental programs are better positioned to serve those customers, capture more revenue per relationship, and smooth out the volatility that comes with equipment sales cycles. The RER 100 is a window into where that trajectory leads. The companies on this list have made rental a genuine competency, not a side operation, and the volume numbers reflect that commitment.
What It Takes to Get Here
There is no single formula for building a rental operation that earns this kind of recognition. The companies on this list have each taken their own path, but the common thread is a commitment to running the whole business well. That means managing fleet utilization as carefully as the sales pipeline, keeping equipment availability and contract data accurate enough to actually trust, and understanding revenue not just at the top line but across locations, equipment categories, and customer relationships. The RER 100 reflects organizations that have made operational excellence something they work at every day, not something they get around to when things slow down.
A Strong Showing for VitalEdge Customers
While we will let the official list speak for itself, we are proud to share that 27 of this year’s RER 100 honorees are VitalEdge customers. Most run their rental operations on Integrated Rental, with additional honorees on e-Emphasys ERP and IntelliDealer DMS.
These are companies we work alongside every day, running rental operations across construction, agriculture, heavy equipment, and specialty markets throughout North America. Some have been partners for years. Others joined us more recently as they invested in modernizing and growing their rental businesses. All of them have earned this recognition through their own hard work, and we are honored to play a supporting role in it.
To each of those customers: you know who you are, and we hope you take a moment to celebrate. This is a meaningful achievement, and it belongs to your teams.
Congratulations to All
To every company on the 2026 RER 100: congratulations.
To our VitalEdge customers among the honorees: thank you as well. Your trust means a great deal, and we are proud to support the operations behind this kind of recognition. We look forward to being part of your continued success throughout 2026 and beyond.
This recognition comes on the heels of another strong showing for VitalEdge customers on Farm Equipment’s 2026 Dealer 100, where nearly half of North America’s largest ag equipment dealerships were VitalEdge customers. Across rental, agriculture, and construction, the dealerships and rental operations we serve continue to set the standard for the industry.
