Is Business Like Music?

For my first job out of college, I worked for a few years for the legendary conductor of a symphony orchestra. During those years, I watched him shape the orchestra to be able to perform everything that music is all about: beauty, meaning, experience, catharsis. Now, for a long time, I thought of him as the real source of everything I was listening to.
